Development 4

For this shoot I used the style of all three of my photographers to observe the drunken side of nighttime.  Using both a club and a takeaway place after, I shot images of people around me, showing both the immediate effects and the after effects of alcohol and people at night. I incorporated Anthony Rivera's style through the lighting within my images, as in certain one's the lighting stands out and is the centre focus of the picture. I have used John Brownlow's style of observing the people around me through my pictures. George Mitchell's style of focusing one one particular subject has come through my images that focus on Grace, using black and white to make certain features stand out.

This image portrays two young people after they have been on a night-out. It is clear that they are suffering the after effects of too much alcohol through their use of body language. The young girl appears to be slouched over attempting to fight off the tiredness that she is feeling, whereas the young boy has his head resting on the shoulder, and he appears to have given in to the tiredness he is clearly feeling. The two subjects are framed by the use of two more people, however the viewer can only see the back if their heads, therefore leaving them unaware of how they may be feeling. The image is black and white creating a fair amount of contrast further aided by the use of lighting within the takeaway shop.
I think this image has been successful in portraying the drunkenness of a night-out through the use of street photography. I have captured people unaware as they battle the negative after effects of too much alcohol. This allows me to present a true portrayal of just one of the aspects of night and what comes with it. I think this image has a certain depth to it as questions arise when looking at it. The viewer is unaware of the relationship between the two subjects whom are the centre focus of the image, as well as who the two people are who frame the image. As a result of not being able to see the two peoples faces, curiosity arises as to what they look like and who they are.
