Development 7- Experimentation with Disposable camera

To further develop my project I decided to experiment with a disposable camera. I was interested to see how the images would turn out when developed and of what kind of quality they would be. I expected there to be quite a lot of grain within the images as the images were taken at night without a flash. Once I had completed my shoot with camera, I took them to a printing shop, where instead of having the images printed, I had them transferred to a CD, allowing me to put the images straight onto my blog as a jpeg.

I decided to do this shoot as I wanted to develop further on both my development 4 pictures and my fun drunken aspect of night. I chose to take a different approach with these images, photographing people from afar, therefore capturing them when they cannot play up to the camera, as well as strangers to observe how alcohol makes them act in front of a camera when a stranger is taking their picture.

This image portrays a young man looking directly into the camera, He is dressed in an army dress and hat suggesting he is in fancy dress for a special occasion. The image is black and white highlighting the large amount of grain present within the photo a well as creating a fair amount of contrast within the image.
I think this image has been fairly successful in portraying another side to night. I wanted to convey the side of nigh-time in which alcohol is usually involved and peoples inhibitions are low. Therefore, people often do things they wouldn't normally do in the daytime such as going out in fancy dress. Even though I think this image has been fairly successful I don't think I'll be experimenting with disposable cameras any further as I don't think the quality of the images are the best they could be at night. The disposable cameras aren't equipped to deal with the conditions that are necessary to produce a good photograph at night.
